South African ‘Isijula’ throwing spear belonging to Sir Richard Burton. Iron spearhead with midridge. This spear has a Long foreshaft tanged into a wooden shaft and a skin sleeve hiding the binding fibre beneath. Made and used by Nguni nations inhabiting KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape Provinces of South Africa.
