Introduction to iPad Drawing and Painting
12 September 2019
Orleans House Gallery
Using the theme Grottos and Follies, this workshop will explore decorations such as shells and statuary to create a personal and unique environment. Artist Jan Lee Johnson will provide an informal introduction into the world of digital creativity using your iPad. She will guide you through using digital brushes and textures to create extraordinary mark-making and magical effects. At the end of the workshop you will take away a colour print of your final image.
Tuition will cover the basic understanding of the digital apps, including Brushes XP and Procreate. These will need to be downloaded in advance from your App Store. Please bring your own iPad to the workshop.
Jan Lee Johnson is a British artist who works from her art studio in Ham, Richmond. Her career includes working as a scenic painter at the BBC to sketching for media as a ‘Court Artist’. Her expertise with iPad painting and drawing has led to workshops at the V&A and Kew Botanic Gardens.
