Let’s Get Creative: Art Lab
Ever wonder how a cat can be dead and alive at the same time? Or if things can teleport across the universe in a flash? What actually is dark matter?
Join us for a creative family workshop where science meets imagination with artist duo Unit Lab. Inspired by the new exhibition Shadowscapes, this free family workshop will explore the fascinating world of quantum physics through supersized experiments, light and shadow play, and collaborative art-making.
Let’s Get Creative is a free monthly activity designed for children aged 4–11 and their grown-ups. In this workshop, children and their grown-ups will work together as creative teams to experiment, imagine, and make art inspired by the strange beauty of the quantum world. Older and younger children are also welcome. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
About Unit Lab
Unit Lab is the creative partnership of Cindy Strobach and Mike Vanis. Based in South London, they design objects, installations and workshops that bridge science, art, and the natural world.
Previous projects include a playground that incorporates perspective and distortion, a ruler that measures both length and weight, and a collection of plates that capture frequency patterns.
