The CREATE programme has been designed to engage older adults living in care within Richmond and neighbouring boroughs.

Run by Orleans House Gallery, these sessions will provide your group with a creative arts project that enhances their quality of life through self-expression.

These workshops will also provide participants with a safe environment in which to learn new creative skills, grow in confidence and connect with other residents living in their community.

Past projects have included:

CREATE Reimagine

In response to Orleans House Gallery’s exhibition Reimagine in which eleven artists explored a variety of approaches to reimagine artworks from the Richmond Borough Art Collection, patients from West Middlesex University Hospital created their own interpretations and questioned how much our view has changed and how art reflects the world it’s made in.

The sessions were delivered by exhibiting artist Alexandra Robb and RA graduate Lucy Evetts , in partnership with hospital charity CW+ as part of their arts in health programme.

CREATE Elleray Hall

A monthly Art Club hosted at Elleray Hall, Teddington, which celebrated the creativity and supported the wellbeing of individuals living within the borough.

CREATE Hounslow

Creative sessions delivered as part of the Happy & Healthy programme for residents aged 60+ living within four sheltered housing schemes across the borough of Hounslow. Artist and illustrator Susie Foster delivered the sessions which took inspiration from the borough Art Collection and the nature.

Our community sessions are currently paused. For more information on when we will be restarting and to get involved email artsinfo@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk or telephone 020 8831 6000.
