Following the Ancient Oaks, Richmond Park
Gina DeCagna, Royal Oak, Richmond Park, 2024-25, graphite and gouache on paper.
Join us for a walk in Richmond Park, inspired by the path that artist Gina DeCagna took regularly for six months.
On this path she connected with ancient trees, specifically a 775-year-old Royal Oak.
You’ll be guided through a series of facts and reflective prompts for journaling, participants can explore thoughts on the role of nature in culture. Together we will share and reflect on our own unique experiences with the more-than-human world. Location: Meet at Richmond Park’s entrance gates from Richmond Hill, known as ‘Sawyer’s Hill’.
