Germinating History
Artist Heather Ackroyd invites you to a lunchtime event to share a walk, talk and falafel wrap, courtesy of the artists.
Taking inspiration from a cedar of Lebanon tree that grows in the woodland adjacent to Orleans House Gallery, Heather will discuss why she is fascinated by early Sumerian cuneiform tablets and the pivotal meeting with the visionary Earth Lawyer, the late Polly Higgins, in 2009.
Please join this session to unwrap why the cedar of Lebanon beyond any other tree growing in the forest, tell us why the law of civilisation defines itself from the outset over against the forests, and how the latest plant science tells us that plants ‘know’ much more than we may imagine.
