Let’s Get Creative: Story Cloths and Family Tapestries
24 May 2026
1-4pm (last entry at 3.30pm)
Free
Join visual artist Sarina Mantle for a creative, hands-on workshop where families make their own colourful story cloths together.
Inspired by pattern, symbols, and storytelling, this session invites children and adults to design a small textile artwork that represents something about them, whether it’s a favourite place, a memory, or a connection to nature.
Using a mix of playful techniques including printing, drawing, and fabric collage, participants will explore colour, texture, and pattern. There will also be opportunities to add simple stitched details and decorative borders, reflecting Sarina Mantle’s distinctive approach to textiles.
This is a relaxed, drop-in activity designed for families to enjoy together, no experience needed, just curiosity and creativity.
All materials provided.
Aimed at children aged 4 –11 and their families, though all are welcome.
Stay for as long as you like and make something meaningful together. There is no need to book – just drop-in on the day. Last entry is at 3.30pm.
