Talktecture

Join us for Talktecture – a gathering dedicated to exploring different ways of looking at, understanding, and talking about architecture. 

Talktecture will be launched at What Moves You? with more in the series to be announced. Palomar (an arts and education project dedicated to connecting people through art and architecture) will lead this special event. Somewhere between a conversation, a class, and a study group, this series of talks aims to make themes around to architecture more accessible.  

At each gathering, a project, a building, or a spatial situation will serve as a starting point for the conversation. From this specific focus, we will explore themes, questions, and collaborative ways of thinking about and making architecture. 

The project aims to share tools for looking at, interpreting, and engaging with the spaces we inhabit. Through each talk, we will examine the choices that shape a place — materials, construction methods, uses, contexts, and relationships between people — and how these elements influence the way we live in and perceive the spaces around us. 

The gatherings are open to anyone interested in architecture, the city, space, and ways of inhabiting. No previous education or experience in the field is required.

About Palomar 

Palomar is an arts and education project dedicated to developing cultural mediation initiatives that connect people with art and architecture. Its activities seek to make ideas and practices in these fields more accessible, engaging and participatory, creating spaces for dialogue, exchange and collective learning. 

Founded by artist Paloma Durante and architect Marco Rotundo, Palomar grew out of a shared interest in creating collaborative learning experiences. The project aims to foster reflection on cultural and artistic practices while encouraging dialogue, curiosity and the exchange of knowledge among participants.
